Nexcellent Energy has developed a high-efficiency hydrogen fuel cell system for drones and completed test flights. Internal tests show it boosts flight time by more than three times compared to standard lithium batteries. Mass production is scheduled to begin by the end of this year.
Currently, most drones use lithium batteries. While reliable, they have key limits: short flight times, long recharge times, fast aging, and lower performance in hot weather. The new hydrogen battery aims to solve these limits.
